Chilmari is a backward area. The Bashundhara Group’s initiative in this poverty-stricken upazila will assist poor women in increasing their income. If the humanitarian activities of Bashundhara could be further increased in this upazila, the people here would be more benefitted.
I hope that by getting sewing machines, the beneficiaries will regain financial stability for themselves and their families. Bashundhara Shuvosangho is conducting various social and humanitarian acts along with working for the socio-economic development of the country. This social organisation is working in various ways to stand by the poor and helpless people.
Bashundhara Shuvosangho is providing free sewing training and sewing machines to the impoverished women to make them self-reliant. By becoming self-sufficient, these women will take the country forward. Sewing machines were distributed among these women by Bashundhara Group after the training aimed at creating self-employment, which is highly commendable.
Three of the six unions in this upazila are now under the occupation of the River Brahmaputra. If Bashundhara takes various initiatives for employment in these areas, people would benefit further.
