The State Guest House Jamuna, the office of Chief Adviser Nobel laureate Prof Muhammad Yunus, has become a plastic bottle-free zone.
Environment, forest, and climate change adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan spearheaded the initiative and urged her fellow members of the advisory council to cease using plastic bottles.
Muhammad Yunus endorsed the idea, leading to Jamuna now being recognized as a plastic bottle-free zone.
Chief adviser’s press secretary Shafiqul Alam said it has been about a week since the state guest house stopped using plastic bottled water.
"Initially, I thought it wouldn't be possible, but it's been about a week since we made the switch," added Shafiqul.
