The interim government on Wednesday appointed Anti-Discrimination Student Movement’s Liaison Committee Coordinator Md Mahfuz Alam as a special assistant to Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus.
Mahfuz is a student of 2015-16 batch at Dhaka University’s law faculty.
According to the notification, Mahfuz Alam has been contractually appointed as special assistant to the chief adviser on the condition of stopping his engagement with other institutions and organisations.
He would be serving with the rank of secretary, similar salary and other benefits. Mahfuz’s appointment will be effective for the tenure of the chief adviser from the date of joining or subject to his satisfaction (whichever occurs earlier).
Earlier on August 24, Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Hafiz was appointed as special assistant to the chief adviser.
