The United Kingdom (UK) is providing £33,000 of immediate humanitarian assistance in Bangladesh to support 12 lakh people affected by severe flooding in Feni, Khagrachari, and Noakhali.
This will provide vital search and rescue, food, cash transfers, clean water, sanitation and hygiene supplies, said the British High Commission in Dhaka on Monday, UNB reports.
It will be implemented by Start Fund Bangladesh and Save the Children International, the High Commission said.
The total number of families stranded by the widespread flooding has reached 12 lakh.
