Workers Party of Bangladesh President Rashed Khan Menon was detained in Dhaka on Thursday.
He was apprehended at his residence in the Banani area this afternoon.
A Dhaka Metropolitan Police Source confirmed the matter.
Workers Party Central Committee member Mustafa Alamgir Ratan told the media that Rashed Khan Menon was arrested from his Banani residence at 5:15 reportedly in the hands of DB.
Since he has been arrested by DB, he is supposed to be in their office, Ratan said.
