Sabrina Sobhan, Director of Bashundhara Group, spent time with orphans in Kushtia on Sunday.
Sabrina, also wife of Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir, presented the orphans with various items and exchanged views with them, reports The Daily Sun.
Visiting Al Amin Women Orphanage in Kushtia sadar, she said “From today, the children here are no more orphans. They belong to us. It is our responsibility to bring them up as good citizens. We are shouldering responsibility for building their future.”
Sabrina Sobhan was accompanied with her mother and brother. Teachers of the orphanage were also present.
She gifted the children warm clothes, cosmetics and other articles.
Prior to orphanage, she went to the municipality graveyard where her father former lawmaker from Kushtia-3 constituency Khandaker Rashiduzzaman Dudu is in eternal rest. She offered munajat seeking salvation of the departed soul.
Khandaker Rashiduzzaman Dudu, a liberation war organiser, social worker and Kushtia district Awami League president, died on February 4, 2014.
Kushtia unit of Shuvo Sangha, a social organisation of the Bashundhara Group's vernacular daily Kaler Kantho, accorded her floral reception.
Hailing the social welfare activities of Shuvo Sangha, Sabrina Sobhan said the organisation is doing a great job across the country and Bashundhara Group will continue to extend all-out supports in this regard.
