Five arrested juveniles confessed their involvement in killing of seven-grade student Nirob in Dumuria upazila of Khulna, reports BSS.
They confessed to the court on Friday afternoon under section 164 CrPc, court sources said.
The five juveniles confessed that they killed Nirob Mondal for not getting ransom money, but committed the murder being inspired watching TV serial "Crime Patrol,"sources said.
Rownok Jahan, judge of Khulna Judicial Magistrate Court-2, sent them to jail after recording their confessional statements, Sheikh Koni Mia, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dumuria Police Station, said.
Talking to BSS, OC Koni Mia said, the five juveniles were produced before the court after arrested them from different areas through tracking their mobile calls yesterday.
The arrested are Pial Roy, 16, a 10-grad student, and three nine-grad students are Pitu Mondal, Hirok Roy and Sohel Molla, 15, and Dip Mondal 12, a six-grade student of the same school.
Earlier, police recovered the body of Nirob, who was allegedly abducted by fellows, from his classroom of his school in Dumuria upazila of Khulna district on Friday morning.
The deceased Nirob Mandal, 13, son of Shekhar Mandal, resident of Gutudia Purbapara village of the upazila, was a student of class-VII in Gutudia ACGB Secondary School.
Sheikh Koni Mia, said on Thursday afternoon after the classes of second shift, Piyal Roy called Nirob and took him to an abandoned house near the school and locked him there.
Later, Sohel contacted Nirob's father over phone from two separate numbers and demanded Tk 30 lakh ransom. Both of them locked in altercation over the issue.
The agitated boys then allegedly killed Nirob and hanged the body from the ceiling fan of a classroom.
The victim's father immediately informed the Dumuria Police Station and also registered a general diary.
Getting the compliant, police using the tech surveillance traced out numbers and detained Sohel from Zero Point area of Khulna around 12 pm on Friday.
After his confession, police detained rest of the suspects and recovered the body of Nirob from one of the classrooms of his school.
