Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (BAJUS) is set to organize a three-day jewellery fair in Dhaka from February 9.
The "Bajus Fair 2023" will be held at the International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital.
Uttam Banik, chairman of the BAJUS standing committee on fair and event management, made the announcement at a press briefing at Bashundhara City Shopping Complex on Tuesday morning.
He said the fair will hopefully play a role in enriching the domestic jewellery industry and creating a new position for Bangladesh in the global market.
The fair will remain open for buyers and visitors from 10 am-9 pm every day and will be held at Hall No. 4 of International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).
The entrance ticket of the fair is fixed at Tk 100 per person. Children aged till 5 years do not need any tickets. There will be arranged a raffle draw for the customers. They will collect the raffle draw coupons from the store from which they purchase the ornaments.
Besides, jewellery companies are giving special offers to attract the attention of the buyers.
Fifty traditional jewellery companies of the country will take part in the fair at eight pavilions, 12 mini pavilions and 30 stalls.
Bajus Standing Committee on Fair and Event Management chairman Uttam Banik, Bangladesh Jewellers Association vice-president Dr. Dewan Aminul Islam Shaheen were present at the press conference, among others.
