Fifteen individuals have been announced the Bangla Academy Literary Award-2022 for their outstanding contribution to different spheres of literature, reports BSS.
Bangla Academy announced the names of the award recipients on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over the awards at the inaugural ceremony of the Amar Ekushey Book Fair-2023 scheduled to begin on 1 February.
The award recipients are Faruk Mahmud and Tarik Sujat (jointly in poetry), Tapash Mazumder and Parvez Hossain (jointly in fiction), Masuduzzaman (essay/research), Alam Khorshed (translation), Milon Kanti Dey and Farid Ahmad Dulal (jointly in drama), Dhruba Esh (juvenile literature), Muhammad Shamsul Haque (research on Liberation War), Subhash Singh Roy (research on Bangabandhu), Mokaram Hossain (science/science fiction/environmental science), Iktiar Chowdhury (biography/reminiscences/travelogue) and Abdul Khalek and Muhammad Abdul Jalil (jointly in folklore).
