A total of 37,574 candidates, who have received the appointment letter for the post of Assistant Teacher in Government Primary Schools countrywide, were asked to join on Sunday at their respective district's primary education office, reports BSS.
The candidates must bring three documents while joining. The documents include: two copies of joining letter as per sample given on the website of Primary Education Office, an undertaking in non-judicial stamp worth Taka 300 and an attested photocopy of the appointment letter, said a press release.
Earlier, the result of the recruitment examination-2020 of the assistant teachers for the government primary schools was published on December 14 last year with the name of 37 thousand 574 selected candidates.
According to Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, the candidates were selected primarily for the assistant teachers' post based on the results of the written and viva-voce exams.
This was the biggest recruitment circular so far in the history of government primary school teacher recruitment programme of the country. The online application started on October 25, 2020, where as many as 13 lakh 9 thousand 461 candidates applied.
The selected individuals will be paid as per Grade 13th of the National Pay Scale for two years from the date of joining, considering the above mentioned timeframe as 'Apprenticeship period', the release added.
However, if the authorities concerned find any misconduct during apprenticeship of the teachers, they are eligible to dismiss any individual without showing any reason.
