Bashundhara Group, the country’s largest business conglomerate, distributed blankets among distressed people in Naogaon.
Shuvo Sangha, a social organisation of Bashundhara Group's Bengali daily Kaler Kantho, reached out to cold-battered destitute on behalf of the biggest corporate house.
The group distributed the blankets among 400 people at Naogaon PTI School ground and 100 in Naogaon High School ground on Friday morning, reports Daily Sun.
The recipients of the warm blankets expressed their gratitude to Bashundhara Group for taking such initiative.
Naogaon PTI Superintendent Md Azizur Rahman, who was present in the blanket distribution event, said, “I am very grateful to the country's top conglomerate Bashundhara for distributing blankets to the poor and cold-hit people of the district.
He also thanked Bashundhara Group for taking this humanitarian and laudable initiative.
Shuvo Sangha director Jakaria Zaman and its district unit general secretary Akramul Islam were present at the blanket distribution event.
