A total of 33 pilgrims who have returned after performing umrah have extended their heartfelt thanks to Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir for providing them with an opportunity to visit holy lands of Saudi Arabia.
The pilgrims expressed their overwhelming emotion after landing at Dhaka airport on early Wednesday.
Musalli Committee General Secretary Mizanur Rahman Manik and social welfare secretary Nazmul Huda welcomed the pilgrims at the airport, reports Daily Sun.
In the last Ramadan, Anvir, also the chief adviser to the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Musalli Committee, pledged to send 104 devotees to Saudi Arabia. Some 33 devotees left Dhaka in second phase of the pilgrimage on December 27 last year.
Mizanur Rahman Manik said that a total of 59 devotees have completed umrah in two phases as Musalli Committee chief advisor pledged to support 104 underprivileged ones to perform Hajj.
“Apart from this, currently 27 more people are staying in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah and they expressed hope that 18 more people will be sent to perform Umrah in the next phase within month,” he said.
In his reaction, Ishak Bin Mahsin, a muajjin of Baitul Mukarram, expressed gratitude to Bashundhara Group for fulfiling his dream to visit holy lands of Makkah and Madinah.
"Bashundhara Group MD inspired us to perform hajj. Many people come to the right paths due to the activities of Musalli committee. The platform helps us in purification of soul," he said.
