A court in Dhaka on Sunday granted bail to Amatullah Bushra in a case lodged over the death of her friend and Buet student Fardin Noor Parash, 24, reports BSS.
Dhaka 7th Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Tehsin Iftekhar passed the order on Sunday.
Earlier on January 5, Bushra's lawyer argued for the bail at the same court, while the prosecution vehemently opposed the plea. After hearing both the sides, the court had set today to pass its order.
Bushra's lawyer had filed the bail plea on December 31.
Earlier the investigation agency detective branch (DB) of police said they have found no involvement of Bushra in the death of Fardin.
Police on November 10, 2022, arrested Bushra from her Rampura flat and produced her before the court, pleading to place her on seven-day remand. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan had placed her on five-day remand on that day.
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) student Fardin went missing on November 5 and his body was found in the Shitalakshya River on November 7.
