Hezbollah has officially confirmed the martyrdom of one of its top commanders in an Israeli airstrike on a Beirut neighborhood on July 30, Press TV reports.
Fuad Shukr, a senior figure with the Lebanese resistance movement, was assassinated when an Israeli attack drone fired three missiles at the area around Hezbollah’s Shoura Council in the Haret Hreik neighborhood.
Lebanon’s media reported the official confirmation on Wednesday.
Hezbollah issued a statement following the confirmation.
Fuad Shukr’s sacrifices, the statement said, “stand as a powerful symbol of our unwavering commitment and resolve to continue on our righteous path until the liberation of our land and holy sites.”
