The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has approved a budget of approximately 7.4 lakh taka for the sterilization, management, and removal of stray dogs in the city.
DSCC Secretary Mohammad Bashirul Haque Bhuiyan recently issued an office order confirming the allocation. The funds will be used to purchase medicines, equipment, and tools for the sterilization process, as well as first aid provisions. The initiative will be implemented between March and June 2025 under the 2024-25 fiscal year.
Earlier, DSCC formed a dedicated committee to oversee the initiative and ensure its effective execution.
