To control the external environment in the Dhaka University area and maintain the overall situation on the campus, the TSC station of the Metrorail will be closed on 4 specific days.
Dhaka University Proctor Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmed confirmed the matter in a meeting with journalists at the Proctor's Office of Dhaka University on Sunday at 3:30 pm.
The decision has been taken considering the huge crowd for taking the service here.
According to the decision, the TSC station of the Metrorail will be closed on December 16, 25, 31 and January 1.
Professor Saifuddin said that there was Home Affairs Advisor held a meeting on the law and order of the country. In one phase of the meeting, there was a discussion on Dhaka University, where it was decided to close the station on December 16, 25, 31 and January 1. At that time, the communications secretary asked the managing director of the Metrorail to immediately close the station for these 4 days.
Saifuddin Ahmed said, “To reduce the crowd on these 4 days, we can close 6 points of the entrance to Dhaka University. But people will come through the metro station. As a result, the TSC metro station had to be closed on these 4 days. The university authorities have been asked to send a formal letter soon.”
