Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued seven guidelines for the citizens of the metro rail area from the capital’s Agargaon to Diabari to ensure the security of the prime minister on the inauguration day of the much-hyped metro rail.
The DMP’s seven instructions are:
1. No new tenant can move into any building or flat along the metro rail route before December 29.
2. No new offices, shops, and restaurants can be opened in commercial spaces of any buildings along the metro route until December 28.
3. Locals have been asked not to dry clothes or stand on balconies and rooftops of buildings adjacent to the route on an opening day.
4. No photos and festoons can be levelled in any building of the metro rail route on an opening day.
5. None can stay in hotels adjacent to the metro rail on December 28.
6. If there are any legal arms in any building or flat from Agargaon to Diabari, it has to be submitted to the police stations concerned by December 25.
7. All banks and ATM booths on both sides of the metro rail route will remain closed from the morning until ending of the inauguration ceremony.
However, people can avail of these services from December 29, it added.
