The Bangladesh national cricket team have returned home on Friday night after a disappointing campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
They landed at 11 PM, according to a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official.
Najmul Hossain Shanto and his team set an ambitious goal of winning the Champions Trophy but had to make an early exit from the tournament after losing their first two matches.
They suffered a six-wicket defeat to India before falling to New Zealand by five wickets, which ended their hopes of reaching the semifinals.
In both matches, their batting vulnerabilities were exposed, ultimately undermining the valiant efforts of their bowlers.
Later, they faced Pakistan in a dead-rubber match but earned just a point as the game was washed out without a ball being bowled due to relentless rain.
