CA’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam on Saturday said that the interim government will priorities keeping commodity prices stable during Ramadan, reports UNB.
The administration is taking measures to prevent price hike during the holy month, he said at a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka.
"Commodity prices will come down during Ramadan. The government is working to this end. The Chief Adviser has instructed all concerned to ensure that prices do not rise. Steps have already been taken in advance," Shafiqul Alam said.
Prices this year would be lower compared to the previous Ramadan, he added.
In response to a question regarding the soybean oil supply, the Press Secretary said, "We are closely monitoring the supply situation. The price of unpackaged soybean oil has decreased and the government is working to maintain the supply of bottled soybean oil."
