In 25 locations across the capital Dhaka, livestock products will be sold at affordable prices from the 1st to the 28th of Ramadan.
Areas that saw greater public participation during the July Revolution have been prioritized for selling these products. Additionally, arrangements will be made to sell livestock products in slum areas.

In her speech, the Fisheries and Livestock Adviser urged students who participated in the July uprising to speak out against market manipulators who unjustifiably raise food prices, emphasizing that they should not be given a free pass.
Fisheries and Livestock Adviser mentioned that this Ramadan would be different. "We will celebrate Ramadan in a newly independent country, and our responsibility is greater. As an interim government, we will not only implement reforms, but our goal is to reduce the suffering of ordinary people, particularly by controlling the rising prices of essential commodities. Although the prices have not been fully controlled, we are trying to sell some essential products at affordable prices during Ramadan."
The program announced that dressed broiler meat will be sold at 250 Taka per kg, pasteurized milk at 80 Taka per liter, eggs at 114 Taka per dozen, and beef at 650 Taka per kg. This initiative is supported by the Livestock and Dairy Development Project (LDDP) of the Department of Livestock Services, the Bangladesh Poultry Industries Central Council (BPICC), the Bangladesh Dairy and Fattening Farmers Association (BDFFA), dairy processing institutions, and other stakeholders, including marginal farmers.
