The National Moon Sighting Committee will convene on Saturday evening to assess the moon sighting for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan and make an official decision.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 pm at the Islamic Foundation Baitul Mukarram meeting room, and will be chaired by Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain.
The Islamic Foundation has requested that if the moon of the month of Ramadan is seen anywhere in the sky in Bangladesh, it should be reported to the telephone and fax numbers or the Deputy Commissioner or Upazila Nirbahi Officer of the concerned district.
