BNP Chairperson's Advisor Zainul Abedin Faruque has demanded trial of Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) involved in vote rigging in the past few national elections.
He made this call while joining Jatiya Ganatantrik Party’s (JAGPA) protest rally in the capital on Saturday afternoon. Congratulating the new political party Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP), Zainul Abdin Faruk said, "We want the party's leaders to be in favor of democracy."
Demanding justice for the officials who served in the 10th, 11th, and 12th elections, the BNP leader further said, "Not only the District Commissioners and Police Superintendents, but also the UNOs involved in vote rigging in 2014, 2018, and 2019 should be brought to trial."
Zainul Abedin Faruque has also demanded national elections as soon as possible to stop the anti-national conspiracy that has begun.
