Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting chairman Tarique Rahman said, “May the month of Ramadan bring the message of peace and happiness to every Muslim's life, may everyone's life become auspicious.”
He said this in a message signed by the party's senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan on Saturday.
Tarique Rahman said, “It is the duty of every devout Muslim to strive for maintaining peace in the society by avoiding injustice, conflict, hatred, and violence. May the month of Ramadan bring a message of peace and happiness to every Muslim's life, may everyone's life become auspicious. I pray to the Almighty Allah.”
The acting chairman of the BNP said, “The holy month of Ramadan begins tomorrow. This holy month is the month of practicing self-restraint. Therefore, the Muslim Ummah dedicates itself to a unique training to gain the closeness and satisfaction of the Most Gracious Allah, the Lord of the Universe.”
Describing the significance of the month of Ramadan, Tarique Rahman said, "Muslims in the country and all over the world devote themselves to achieving the purity of their souls through fasting in order to gain closeness to Allah during the month of Ramadan. This month is honored as the month of mercy, blessings and forgiveness."
Tarique Rahman said, "It is the duty of every devout Muslim to strive to maintain peace in the society by avoiding injustice, violence, hatred and strife."
