Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials said on Saturday that there will be six categories in the player’s draft of the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the country’s lone franchise-based T20 event, reports Dialy Sun.
A team can retain or do direct signing three local players while a team can take the highest 14 and lowest 10 local cricketers in their squad.
In the draft, there will be six categories- A category (Tk 60 lakhs), B category (Tk 40 lakhs), C category (Tk 25 lakhs), D category (Tk 20 lakhs), E Category (Tk 15 lakhs) and F category (Tk 10 lakhs).
The BPL player’s draft is scheduled to be held on 14 October.
