Opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim hit a fifty and Abu Haider Rony came up with a sterling allround performance as Bangladesh HP crushed Australia's domestic team Northern Territory Strike by 112 runs at TIO Stadium in Darwin.
Put into bat first, Bangladesh amassed 250 before being all out in exact 50 overs but they bowled in disciplined manner to skittle Northern Territory out for 138 in 42 overs.
Tanzid Hasan Tamim led the batting with 64 ball-53, an innings laced with four fours and one six. Abu Haider Rony added 38 before taking 2-18 in five overs to contribute in Bangladesh's gigantic victory, reports BSS.
Rakibul Hasan, Mukidul Islam Mugdho and Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby also claimed two wickets apiece.
But Bangladesh were on course of a big total when Tanzid and his fellow opener Parvez Hossain Emon put on 100 runs for their opening stand in 19.4 overs.
Emon made 47 off 65, smashing five fours and two sixes. His dismissal sparked a collapse that saw HP losing next five wickets for 64 runs.
Abu Haide Rony's knock, complemented by Akbar Ali's 26 and Shamim Patwari's 20 helped the side reach 250 runs mark finally.
Hamish Martin had figures for 4-46 for Northern Territory.
