Bangladesh have set a target of 266 runs for India in their final match of the Asia Cup at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday.
All three top-order batters surrendered helplessly to the Indian bowlers. However, Shakib Al Hasan and Tawhid Hriday took the lead.
Bangladesh captain made his way to the dressing room by forming a partnership of 101 runs with Tawhid Hriday. Shakib returned with a personal 80 runs (85 balls). Shamim Hossain Patwari could not settle down after coming to the crease. He was trapped lbw by Ravindra Jadeja after picking up 1 run from five balls. As a result, Team Tigers was under pressure again.
Hridoy then got out shortly after completing his personal 50 runs. The shock of losing four wickets, in the beginning, was well handled by the Shakib-Hridoy pair. But in the end, Nasum Ahmed expanded the Tigers' runs. He returned to the dressing room after scoring 44 runs to bat at eight.
