CID arrested two employees of BG Press for their alleged involvement in leaking questions of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination.
The arrestees are Md Majnu Mia (59), a porter at BG Press, and Md Akram Hossain (47), a binder.
They were brought to court on Wednesday in connection with a case at Paltan Police Station, and the court granted a three-day remand for Majnu Mia.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Saifuzzaman passed this order after the hearing.
At the same time, Akram Hossain was remanded to jail.
During the proceedings, CID sought a 10-day remand for the accused Majnu and requested that Akram be detained in jail.
Earlier, on July 8, a case was filed at Paltan Police Station under the Bangladesh Public Service Commission(BPSC) Act by CID SI Nippon Chandra Chand.
The case named 31 individuals, along with 50-60 unidentified persons as accused.
Following this, on July 9, 17 accused, including the former driver of the PSC Chairman, Abed Ali, were presented in court.
On that day, six of the accused, including Abed, confessed and gave statements in court.
The others included office assistants Khalilur Rahman, office assistant (dispatch) Sazedul Islam, business siblings Sakhawat Hossain and Saim Hossain, and Liton Sarkar.
