Members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho Dinajpur Government College unit congratulated Prof Md Lutfor Rahman, principal of Dinajpur Government College and chief adviser to the unit, on his nomination as a Senate member of the National University.
The members extended their congratulations and presented flowers to Prof Rahman during a visit to the principal’s office on Tuesday.
Among those present were unit President Arup Kumar Ray, Vice President Shahriar Kabir, Asif, Women’s Affairs Secretary Rubia Akter Rimu, Assistant Women’s Affairs Secretary Anannya Anu and executive members Puja, Jiniya, Mahmud, Hrishi and Shanta.
Members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho said Prof Rahman’s experience, wisdom and leadership would make a valuable contribution to the policy-making activities of the National University. They also expressed hope that his nomination would help strengthen the country’s higher education system and further improve academic standards.
They noted that Prof Rahman has long contributed to the development of Dinajpur Government College and the enhancement of educational quality through his dedication, integrity, leadership and vision.
The members described his nomination to the National University Senate as a matter of pride not only for him personally but also for the Dinajpur Government College community, Bashundhara Shuvosangho and the people of Dinajpur.
On behalf of the organisation, they wished Prof Rahman good health, a long life and continued success in his professional career.
