Bashundhara Shuvosangho Lalmonirhat Government College unit organised a career guidance seminar to help students gain a clearer understanding of their future professional paths and make informed career decisions.
The seminar focused on higher education opportunities, skill development, job preparation, leadership building, voluntary activities and long-term career planning. Speakers emphasised that academic excellence alone does not guarantee success in today’s competitive world. They said students must also develop practical skills, communication abilities, technological knowledge and social engagement to build successful careers.
Among the guests were Munni Begum, assistant prof and adviser to the college unit; Kankar Chandra Barman, assistant prof; and Md Ashikur Rahman, lecturer. They shared guidance on career development and highlighted the importance of effective time management, self-confidence and perseverance in achieving professional goals.
Md Saurav Islam, president of the college unit, chaired the programme.
The event also drew the participation of Bashundhara Shuvosangho Lalmonirhat district unit President Md Jamal Hossain, General Secretary Md Naim Rahman and Joint General Secretary Selina Akter Sweety, along with office-bearers and members of the Lalmonirhat Government College unit.
Participating students described the seminar as a timely and student-friendly initiative. They said such programmes would strengthen their confidence, help them set future goals and support them in making informed career choices.
At the end of the programme, organisers reaffirmed their commitment to continuing educational, skill-development and social awareness activities for the welfare of students.
