A friendly football match has been held at the Ananda Mohan College ground in Mymensingh with the aim of promoting healthy recreation, harmony, camaraderie, and brotherhood among young people.
The Ananda Mohan College unit Bashundhara Shuvosangho organised the event.
Two teams — Black Thunders and Light Warriors — took part in the match. The energetic participation and impressive performances of the players created great excitement among the spectators. Both teams fought hard throughout the match, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
The entire event was successfully completed under the leadership of Ananda Mohan College unit Shuvosangho President Nafiul Hasan Mubin.
In his speech, Mubin said, “There is no alternative to sports in ensuring healthy recreation and strengthening mutual harmony among young people. Sports play an important role in keeping the youth away from drugs and negative activities.
“Bashundhara Shuvosangho has always been working to engage young people in positive and humanitarian activities. Such programmes will continue in the future as well,” he added.
Among others present at the event were Shuvosangho vice-presidents Jihad Hasan, Al Shahriar Bibek, and Shah Alam Jibon; Organising Secretary Animur Rahman Riyad; Publicity Secretary Anitur Rahman Sadi; and members Abdullah, Oli Ahad, Palash Mia, Sukanta Acharya, Yasin Arafat, and Rezwan Nasif.
The players of the Black Thunders team were Ziaul Haque, Ahmed Junayed Tonmoy, Majedul Haque Sumon, Tanzil Islam, Mahmudul Hasan Akash, Jihad Hasan, Ali Ahmed Labib, Anitur Rahman Riyad (captain), Jihad Amir, Sukanta Acharya, Palash Mahmud, Abdullah Al Mamun, Sharif Hasan, and Jony Mia.
On the other hand, the Light Warriors team consisted of Tarek Talukdar, Nizam Uddin Saurav, Nafiul Hasan Mubin, Al Shahriar Bibek (captain), Shoishob Khandakar, Yasin Arafat, Rafi Hasan, Shah Alam Jibon, Kaushik Joy, Naim Talukdar, Anitur Rahman Sadi, Maruf Hasan, Munna Mia, and Nasim Osman.
