A discussion meeting aimed at promoting morality, human values, and social awareness among the younger generation was held in Demra on Sunday.
The event was organised by Bashundhara Shuvosangho at Jamiyatus Suffah Madrasa.
During the programme, speakers discussed various issues related to moral education, discipline, humane behaviour, social responsibility, and the importance of developing oneself as an ideal human being. They said that alongside modern education, the practice of morality and human values helps students become responsible and compassionate individuals.
The speakers also stressed that the younger generation must be enriched with proper education and ethical ideals to play a positive role in the development of society and the country.
Addressing the event as chief guest, Principal of Jamiyatus Suffah Madrasa Hafez Maulana Saiful Islam said, “In the present time, students must not only acquire textbook knowledge but also learn about morality, humanity, and social awareness. Only then can a beautiful and ideal society be established.”
Special guest Abdul Hannan Milton said creating positive values among youths and students would help build a more humane and better society in the future.
“Since its inception, Bashundhara Shuvosangho has been working for the welfare of society, and such awareness-building activities will continue in the future as well,” he added.
Senior teacher Maulana Mamunur Rashid and senior teacher Mufti Sirajul Islam also spoke at the event. They urged students to gain moral education and become responsible toward society.
The programme was conducted under the overall supervision of Abdul Hannan Milton and led by Demra thana unit President Shaharul Islam Shakil and General Secretary Sadman.
Among others present were Vice President Nahidul Islam Robin, Organising Secretary Samrat, Religious Affairs Secretary Maulana Rezaur Rahman Bappi, and members Shaheen and Rubayet, along with teachers and students of the madrasa.
The organisers said similar programmes would continue regularly in the future to help develop morality, human values, and social awareness among students.
