Bashundhara Shuvosangho organised a measles awareness meeting in Amtali upazila of Barguna to educate people on the outbreak and prevention of the disease.
The programme took place at Alhera Madinatul Ulum Madrasa, where teachers, students and local residents took part in the discussion.
Madrasa founder director Hafez Maulana Abdullah Muhammad Belal attended the event as a guest.
Assistant teachers Hafez Md Rifat Hossain and Hafez Mohammad Moinuddin also joined the session, along with Bashundhara Shuvosangho Amtali upazila adviser Md Al Amin Babu and members including Nazmul Ahsan, Nayan Das and HM Russell.
Speakers highlighted the severity of measles, its symptoms and preventive measures. They said measles spreads rapidly and poses serious health risks, especially for children. They stressed that timely vaccination remains the most effective way to prevent the disease.
They urged parents to ensure children receive vaccines according to schedule and to seek medical attention immediately if symptoms appear.
At the end of the programme, organisers shared awareness messages with participants. Bashundhara Shuvosangho continues to run health, education and social initiatives across the country to promote positive change.
