Bashundhara Shuvosangho activists distributed savoury food ingredients among the destitute people to help them prepare Eid-special dishes days ahead of the Islamic festival.
Food ingredients like vermicelli, sugar, milk, nuts and raisins were distributed at an event hosted in the capital’s Khilgaon area on Monday.
Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s Dhaka City unit Coordinator Abdul Hannan Milton conducted the event, while Khilgaon Police Station Unit President Ashik, and the same unit’s General Secretary Mainul did the overall supervision.
The organisers said their aim was to ensure that Eid celebrations are not confined to the wealthy only and, rather spread to every corner of the society.
They pledged to remain beside the helpless and destitute people in the future through more humanitarian and social initiatives.
