Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s Haluaghat upazila unit on Monday organised an iftar gathering for orphan students in the area.
During the event, Shuvosangho members spent time with the students, sharing the spirit and joy of Ramadan.
Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s Haluaghat upazila unit advisers Sultan Ahmed and Syed Nafiul Hasan Mubin attended the event as the guests.
Among others, vice-presidents Al Shahriar Bibek, Abdullah Al Mamun, Abir Ahmed Tuhin and Md Mehedi Hasan; organising secretary Abdullah Al Islam Tamim; member Sujit; religious affairs secretary Shah Alam Jibon; office secretary Siam Ahmed; human resources secretary Raihan Khan Pathan; executive members Ami, Nabi Hossain, Mohammad Siam Ahmed, Tanim Mia, Sabuj Ahmed, Russell Khan, Bappi, Rabiul Hossain, Sharafat Ahmed, Bulbul Ali, Swapnil, Tanim, Naim Mia, and Shaukat Hossain were present.
Speaking at the event, adviser Sultan Ahmed said, “Ramadan is a month of compassion and humanity. Standing beside the underprivileged and orphaned is our moral responsibility. The initiative taken by Bashundhara Shuvosangho is truly commendable, and I hope such humanitarian activities will continue in the future.”
Adviser Syed Nafiul Hasan Mubin said, “Bringing smiles to the faces of orphan children and standing by them is a noble deed. Bashundhara Shuvosangho has always been working for the welfare of society, and today’s iftar gathering is a fine example of that.”
The programme concluded with special prayers seeking the welfare of the country and the nation.
