Bashundhara Shuvosangho Mirpur unit has distributed new Eid clothes among underprivileged children, bringing smiles to their faces ahead of the festival.
Rahim, a young boy, had long hidden his unfulfilled dream behind torn clothes. While Eid often brings joy through new outfits, he waited quietly for a chance to celebrate like others. This year, that wait ended.
Volunteers from the organisation handed over new clothes to 20 disadvantaged children on Tuesday, offering not just garments but also care and compassion. The children expressed joy and gratitude as the distribution created a festive atmosphere.
Tanjim Hossain, Mahima Mahbuba, Sejuti Akter and Swapna Akter from the Mirpur unit attended the programme.
Volunteers said they organised the initiative to share Eid happiness with everyone. They added that compassion and humanity still thrive, and such efforts bring hope and joy to many children like Rahim.
