A quiz competition based on the Quran and Sunnah has been held in Kalukhali upazila of Rajbari to enhance students’ religious knowledge on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Kalukhali upazila unit Bashundhara Shuvosangho organized the event at Ballabhpur Hossainia Mojaddedia Hafezia Madrasa in Ratanadia union on Wednesday.
The program also aimed to instill Islamic ethics and moral values among the students.
A discussion meeting was held with Shuvosangho’s Kalukhali upazila unit President Md Bashir Ahmed in the chair. General Secretary Mohammad Rakib Uddin Khan Mamun moderated the program. Kalukhali Dakhil Madrasa Superintendent Abu Nur Mohammad Imarat Ali Khan attended as the chief guest.
Special guests included Ballabhpur Madrasa Muhtamim Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Khan, Rajbari district correspondent of the Kaler Kantho Jahangir Hossain, Shuvosangho members Shamsuddin Joardar and Isharat Hossain, and teachers Abdul Hamid, Ibrahim Hossain, and Alif Hossain.
In his speech, Imarat Ali Khan said, “Today’s quiz competition is not only a means to evaluate students’ knowledge of the Quran and Sunnah, but also a unique opportunity to build their character and moral values. Such activities during the holy month of Ramadan increase students’ self-restraint, patience, and interest in religious knowledge.”
Bashir Ahmed said, “Such initiatives increase students’ interest in Islamic knowledge and inspire them to apply religious teachings in real life.”
After the competition, prizes were distributed among the winners. The winning students said such initiatives help enrich their religious knowledge and boost their confidence.
Organizers said the initiative of Bashundhara Shuvosangho has been praised locally as a unique example of humanitarian and educational activities.
