A seminar on women’s awareness and rights was held in Mymensingh under the initiative of the Bashundhara Shuvosangho Mymensingh district unit.
The seminar focused on a range of key issues, including the prevention of violence against women and children, measures to curb child marriage, access to legal assistance, women’s health and nutrition, maternal care, and the promotion of mental health awareness.
The event was presided over by Nafiqul Hasan Mubin, president of the Bashundhara Shuvosangho Mymensingh district unit.
In his address, he said violence against women and children and child marriage are major social challenges that can only be addressed through increased awareness.
“Informing women about their rights, guiding them toward legal support, and ensuring their physical and mental well-being is our collective responsibility,” he said, adding that Bashundhara Shuvosangho has consistently worked toward humanitarian and social development and will continue such initiatives in the future.
Among others present at the seminar were Organisational Secretary Animur Rahman Riyad, Education and Study Circle Secretary Shahriar Bibek, Publicity Secretary Anitur Rahman Sadi, Work and Planning Secretary Mohammad Hasan, and Event Secretary Mehebuba Jeri.
Executive members Md Siam, Md Tanvir Rahman, Anima, and a large number of Bashundhara Shuvosangho members also actively participated.
Participants received practical guidance on women’s health, nutrition, and mental well-being and expressed their commitment to working collectively to raise women’s awareness in the future.
