Recently, the Bashundhara Shuvosangho Patiya unit distributed food among helpless and destitute people at Patiya Railway Station.
This humanitarian initiative has been widely viewed as a commendable example of standing beside marginalised and vulnerable communities in society.
Those present at the food distribution programme included Abdul Hakim Rana, president of the Patiya Press Club; Farukur Rahman Binju, joint general secretary; SMA Jewel, president of Bashundhara Shuvosangho Greater Chattogram unit; Abu Sayeed Talukder, general secretary of the Chattogram–Dohazari Railway Passengers’ Welfare Association and a well-wisher of Bashundhara Shuvosangho; along with other volunteers of the organisation, including Khokon, Parvez, and Tanvir.
During the programme, the guests interacted directly with the destitute individuals, inquiring about their living conditions, problems, and daily challenges.
The distribution of nutritious food brought visible relief and smiles to the faces of the beneficiaries.
Abdul Hakim Rana, president of the Patiya Press Club, said, “Standing beside the neglected and poor people of society is our moral responsibility. Even though this is a small initiative, we hope it brings at least a little happiness to their lives.”
Farukur Rahman Binju said, “Such humanitarian activities help foster empathy and strengthen the spirit of humanity in society.”
Abu Sayeed Talukder remarked, “Through Bashundhara Shuvosangho, we are committed to standing beside helpless people. Our goal is not only relief distribution, but also to spread the message of humanity and social solidarity.”
The volunteers who participated in the event called upon everyone to get involved in similar humanitarian initiatives in the future. The Bashundhara Shuvosangho Patiya unit also expressed its determination to continue such humanitarian efforts in the days ahead.
