More than fifty students have received educational materials under an initiative of Bashundhara Shuvosangho in Gauripur upazila of Mymensingh on Thursday.
Bashundhara Shuvosangho Gauripur upazila unit arranged the distribution programme on Thursday at Ghoshpara Government Primary School in the Gauripur municipal area.
The students were provided with Bangla books, English and mathematics exercise books published by Bashundhara Group, along with two pens each.
The students expressed joy and enthusiasm upon receiving the educational materials.
Speaking at the programme, Bashundhara Shuvosangho Gauripur upazila unit President Shankar Ghosh Pillu said the organisation always stands beside people through positive initiatives. “This school has a large number of underprivileged students. The educational materials we have distributed will, at least to some extent, help them continue their studies,” he said.
School head teacher Umme Salma welcomed the initiative, saying such humanitarian activities would encourage children to take greater interest in education. She expressed sincere gratitude to Bashundhara Shuvosangho on behalf of the school.
Senior member of Bashundhara Shuvosangho Obaidur Rahman also spoke at the programme. Among others, assistant teachers of the school Selina Akhter, Nusrat Jahan Akhi, Parveen Sultana and Farhana Tanjin Smriti were present.
