Bashundhara Shuvosangho has distributed blankets among poor and destitute people in the Lakshmipur railway station area of Faridpur town.
The distribution took place around 10:30pm on Thursday, when 25 cold-affected men and women received blankets under the organisation’s winter aid programme.
Adviser of Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s Faridpur district unit and Bangladesh Pratidin district correspondent Kamruzzaman Sohel, Kaler Kantho correspondent Md Nur Islam, district unit general secretary Sonia Sultana, office secretary Tihan Ahmed, hospitality secretary Biplob Biswas, and other members of the organisation were present at the event.
Leaders of Bashundhara Shuvosangho said the organisation aims to stand beside neglected and underprivileged people and will continue such humanitarian activities throughout the winter season.
