Bashundhara Shuvosangho has organised a discussion in Kamalganj of Moulvibazar to raise social awareness against the violence on women and children.
Addressing the programme on Thursday, speakers also laid emphasis on preventing dowry and child marriage through raising social awareness.
Shuvosangho unit President Shabbir Elahi chaired the meeting held at Daluachhara High School in Islampur union of the upazila.
Social activist Indrajit Kumar Singha, Daluachara High School head teacher Debashish Ranjan Dev and Kaler Kantho correspondent Mostafizur Rahman were present on the occasion, while Shuvosangho general secretary Zakir Hossain moderated the discussion.
Suprabha Sinha, a student of class eight, and Sumi Begum, from class nine, raised various problems at the meeting. Teachers Tarek Hasan, Sohel Rana, Redwanul Karim and Lubna Akhter also spoke at the event.
