Bashundhara Shuvosangho has conducted a tree plantation campaign in Akkelpur of Joypurhat to inspire youths in greenery activation.
Upazila Secondary Education Officer Javed Iqbal Hasan was the chief guest, while Shuvosangho unit President Moudud Ahmed presided over the programme held at a junior high school on Monday.
Shuvosangho General Secretary Shadman Hafiz Shuva, members Sakel Hossain and Prakash Kumar Mahanta, Chhatra Dal district unit Joint General Secretary Arman Hossain Kanan, and school headmaster Ahsan Habib were present on the occasion.
Education Officer Javed Iqbal Hasan said trees are very important for the environment. “Students of the school will be motivated further to engage in tree plantation due to the initiative taken by Bashundhara Shuvosangho. And we are grateful to them,” he said.
“On behalf of Bashundhara Shuvosangho, trees have been planted in our school. The initiative has brought us immense pleasure,” said Mitu Parveen, a student.
Expressing gratitude to Bashundhara Shuvosangho for planting tree saplings in the school, headmaster Ahsan Habib said, “I hope Shuvosangho will continue to move forward with their good works,” he said.
