Bashundhara Shuvosangho on Saturday organised a fruit festival for the underprivileged children in the capital's Jatrabari to share the delights of seasonal fruits.
Children relished a variety of seasonal fruits -- mangoes, Java plums, jackfruits, pineapples, papayas, bananas, and more -- at the festive event.
The programme was presided over by Jatrabari unit President Abdul Hannan Milton while Vice-President Khan Shahriar Faisal, General Secretary Sumon Mia, Rakib Mahmud, Alamgir Hossain, Harun-or-Rashid, Habibbul Bashar, Nusrat Jahan, Samida Alam Monika, Shahinur and other members of Shuvosangho were present.
The children beamed with joy as such an open-air festival was a rare and delightful experience for underprivileged kids.
It was equally a heartfelt experience for Shuvosangho volunteers, who found joy in sharing moments of happiness with underprivileged children and under-resourced students.
Khan Shahriar Faisal, vice-president of the Shuvosangho unit, said such initiatives foster empathy and awareness in society, inspiring collective efforts toward building a compassionate and humane Bangladesh.
