The Noakhali district unit of Bashundhara Shuvosangho conducted a cleanliness drive at Purba Charbata School and College in Subarnachar upazila on Sunday.
Teachers, students, and Shuvosangho members participated in the cleanliness drive on the school campus and collected plastic, paper, leaves, and other waste using baskets and brooms and disposed of them in the designated area.
The campaign was inaugurated by College Principal Mohammad Saleh Uddin as the chief guest, with Assistant Headmaster Fakhrul Islam; teachers Delwar Hossain, Anisur Rahman, Manik Chandra Das, and Ismail Hossain; and Shuvosangho General Secretary Mujahidul Islam, member Osman Shamim, and Subarnachar Unit General Secretary Arifur Rahman all present on the occasion.
The college principal emphasised that cleanliness is not just about protecting the environment but also a social responsibility.
"Such a commendable initiative by Bashundhara Shuvosangho will raise awareness among students," he said.
Meanwhile, Shuvosangho organised a public awareness programme to prevent children from drowning, which received a tremendous response in the area.
