Bashundhara Shuvosangho has launched a social campaign against drugs in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh to protect youths from the curse of the society.
Shuvosangho Senior Executive Member Obaidur Rahman presided over the programme while General Secretary Harun Mia made an address of welcome on the occasion on Saturday.
Addressing the programme, Obaidur Rahman said that various psychological diseases occur due to drug use.
“If we want to protect ourselves from destruction and tragic consequences, we must stay away from drugs. Let us stay vigilant and help raise awareness in others,” he said.
Harun Mia said that youth society is being destroyed due to drugs, and drug dealers are also involved in incidents like domestic violence, theft, and robbery.
He called for strict surveillance at the borders to prevent drugs from entering the country through various borders.
