Marking the holy month of Ramadan, Bashundhara Foundation has distributed copies of the Al-Quran among 6,300 students in Homna of Cumilla and Bancharampur of Brahmanbaria.
Bashundhara Group Treasurer Maynal Hossain Chowdhury was the chief guest at the distribution ceremony at Homna Government High School on Thursday.
Bashundhara Foundation Chief Executive Officer M Naseemul Hye, Deputy General Manager Maimun Kabir, and Deputy Manager Mosharraf Hossain were also present while Head Teacher Mohammad Tazul Islam presided over the session.
Maynal Hossain Chowdhury said that Bashundhara Group has been distributing copies of the Al-Quran to various educational institutions every year before the month of Ramadan.
“A total of 6,300 copies of the Al-Quran have been distributed to students of 43 schools in Bancharampur and Homna upazilas,” he said.
The Bashundhara Group treasurer urged the students to focus on religious and moral education along with academic education to keep ethical practices for the future development of the country.
Bancharampur Government College Faculty Chan Mia Sarkar, Shuvosangho Director Zakaria Zaman, and Bangladesh Pratidin Cumilla Correspondent Mohiuddin Molla were present on the occasion.
Bashundhara Group distributed copies of the holy Quran to 6,300 students from five schools in Homna of Comilla, two schools in Nabinagar of Brahmanbaria, and 36 schools in Bancharampur upazila of Brahmanbaria.
