The beloved team behind the hit drama Mon Duari is set to return with a new production, Meghbalika, slated for release this Eid. The drama, written and directed by Jakaria Showkhin, will be available on the Dhupchaya Entertainment YouTube channel, with Ziaul Faruq Apurba and Naznin Nahar Niha reprising their roles as the lead pair.
Like ‘MonDuari’, ‘Meghbalika’ will also feature a story about family values and love. Abid (Apurba) is much senior to Naila (Niha). Yet Naila falls in love with Abid. It is a deep, crazy love. The love of a girl studying in intermediate can be as intense as it can be.
Abid is a friend of Naila’s elder brother. And that friendship is very deep. So deep that Abid is considered Naila’s brother and parents consider him a member of their own family. And so, Naila’s crazy love one day threatens the family relationship.
‘MonDuari’ and ‘Meghbalika’ were made at the same time. But the matter was kept secret. Because there was already a plan to announce ‘Meghbalika’ as a surprise after ‘Mon Duari’.
About ‘Meghbalika’, Jakaria Showkhin said, “This time the story is mainly about love. A chaotic type of love story. A little unstable, a little emotional and a little painful love story. There are many such relationships around us. So the story has a lot in common with reality.”
The director said, “We actually wanted to do 3 dramas. But we were able to do 2. The other one is not happening for now. But I can say a little, the drama Meghbalika will be as exciting as Mon Duari.”
Apurba said, “Meghbalika is a beautiful drama. As always, Showkhin has made the drama with great care. And Niha has acted well. Now, she has got the type of character she needs to act in, in this drama. All in all, it is a great drama. The audience wants to see such dramas during Eid celebrations. I believe everyone will watch the drama in one sitting with satisfaction.”
Naznin Niha said, “Actually, I am at the beginning of my career. At this time, I was able to act in two dramas in a row with Apurba Bhai - this is a great achievement for me. I am very excited about the drama Meghbalika. I believe that Meghbalika will also win the hearts of the audience like Mon Duari.”
'Meghbalika' is the second drama of the Apurba-Niha- Showkhin trio. Their 'Mon Duari' was very popular with the audience last Valentine's Day. The drama was watched by crores of viewers in just 4 days.
