Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, the home adviser of the current interim government, has announced that rewards will be given for information leading to the whereabouts of Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and former Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud.
Yesterday(Saturday), the home adviser made this statement at the Rajshahi BGB Sector Headquarters in response to a question from journalists.
Journalists asked the adviser whether the government had specific information on them. In response to this question, he said,” We do not have specific information. However, you can help us in this regard by giving us the information we need. In that case, you will be rewarded.”
The home adviser urged the journalists to do investigative journalism and find out the necessary information.
The Adviser also mentioned that from August 5 to 7, there was no functioning government. During this time most of the criminals fled the country.
