Amid this process, Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah, two of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, expressed their discontent over the dialogue of the chief adviser with the Jatiya Party.

Hasnat Abdullah, another coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, wrote in his post, "If the Jatiya Party, an ally of dictatorship, is invited to dialogue, we will strongly protest and strongly oppose that suicidal decision."
