Executive Magistrate of Lalmonirhat (OSD) Tapashee Tabassum Urmi has been dismissed temporarily following her controversial remarks on social media about the interim government and the chief adviser.
A process has also been started to take administrative action against the official as per the government service rule.
The public relations officer of the Ministry of Public Administration confirmed the matter.
Earlier, Tapashee Tabassum Urmi was attached to the Ministry of Public Administration and made Officer on Special Duty (OSD) following her controversial remarks.
Meanwhile, the anti-discrimination student movement gave an ultimatum to the administration to dismiss Tapashee Tabassum Urmi from the job and her arrest for levelling Rangpur Begum Rokeya University’s martyred student Abu Sayeed as a ‘terrorist’ on a Facebook post.
